Sukumar Sarkar (সুকুমার সরকার)

 


Sukumar Sarkar is an Indian Bengali poet, novelist, historian, essayist, story-writer, educationist and columnist. 

He was born into a Bengali family on 31 December 1965 in Kaldighi, Gangarampur, Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal. He got M. A. in Bengali language and literature. He is a member (follower) of 'Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha'. 

He is a regular columnist in the newspaper 'Notun Prithivi'. His literature reflects the thoughts of holistic philosophical theory 'Neohumanism' given by Indian spiritual guru and philosopher Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar.

He has written many poems, novels, stories, etc. They are 'Nabanner Barnamala Swad', 'Dhavsta Prithivir Manusamhita', 'Oitihasik Bangarh Banraja O Birupasha Baneshwar Shivmandir', 'Fakir Lalon Jane', Swapna Swadesh', 'Nabyamanabatabad O Bangla Chotagalpa', 'Chotader Prabhatranjan', 'Pathik'. 

He has received many awards for his literary works: Awards for essay and poem from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Government of Bangladesh in 1985 and 1986.

An award from Radio Tehran in 1989 for his poem 'Allahar Nirapad Ghar'.

Rabindra and Nazrul Memorial Awards from Bulbul Sahitya Parishad, Kolkata.

Badriprasad Bandyopadhyay Memorial Award from Jadavpur Suryapat Sangstha for the  historical book 'Oitihasik Bangarh Banraja O Birupasha Baneshwar Shivmandir'. 

'Bangaratna' award for overall literary work in 2019 from Government of West Bengal.

Ramprasad Sen (রামপ্রসাদ সেন)

Ramprasad Sen was an eighteenth century's Indian Bengali sadak (saint), poet and composer from West Bengal.  His parents were Ramram Sen and Siddheswari Devi. He was married to a pious lady, Sarbani Devi.  His literary works are Vidyasundar (Kalikamangal), Shaktageeti, Kali-Kirtan, and Krishna-Kirtan. His devotional songs are known as 'Ramprasadi'. Raja Krishna Chandra Roy (awarded the title 'Kobiranjan' to Ramprasad), Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and others were deeply influenced by Ramprasad. Prasenjit Dutta (প্রসেনজিৎ দত্ত)

Prasenjit Dutta (born in 1981) is an Indian Bengali chess player and coach from Tripura. He is the founder of "Matrix Chess Academy". Honours: He is the only person from Tripura who received the prestigious title "FIDE Master" by FIDE in 2008. He was elected coach for Indian National Chess Team in 2017. He was nominated for the Dronacharya award by the Chess Federation of India in 2020.
