Sukumar Sarkar (সুকুমার সরকার)

 


Sukumar Sarkar is an Indian Bengali poet, novelist, historian, essayist, story-writer, educationist and columnist. 

He was born into a Bengali family on 31 December 1965 in Kaldighi, Gangarampur, Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal. He got M. A. in Bengali language and literature. He is a member (follower) of 'Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha'. 

He is a regular columnist in the newspaper 'Notun Prithivi'. His literature reflects the thoughts of holistic philosophical theory 'Neohumanism' given by Indian spiritual guru and philosopher Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar.

He has written many poems, novels, stories, etc. They are 'Nabanner Barnamala Swad', 'Dhavsta Prithivir Manusamhita', 'Oitihasik Bangarh Banraja O Birupasha Baneshwar Shivmandir', 'Fakir Lalon Jane', Swapna Swadesh', 'Nabyamanabatabad O Bangla Chotagalpa', 'Chotader Prabhatranjan', 'Pathik'. 

He has received many awards for his literary works: Awards for essay and poem from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Government of Bangladesh in 1985 and 1986.

An award from Radio Tehran in 1989 for his poem 'Allahar Nirapad Ghar'.

Rabindra and Nazrul Memorial Awards from Bulbul Sahitya Parishad, Kolkata.

Badriprasad Bandyopadhyay Memorial Award from Jadavpur Suryapat Sangstha for the  historical book 'Oitihasik Bangarh Banraja O Birupasha Baneshwar Shivmandir'. 

'Bangaratna' award for overall literary work in 2019 from Government of West Bengal.

Sunirmal Basu (সুনির্মল বসু)

  Sunirmal Basu was an Indian Bengali poet and writer. He was a celebrated children's writer.  He was born into a reputed Bengali family  on 20 July 1902 in Giridih, Bihar, British India. His ancestral home was in present-day Bangladesh. His grandfather, Girish Chandra Basu, was a journalist and writer. শ্রীরাধা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় (Sreeradha Bandyopadhyay/ Sreeradha Banerjee/ Sriradha Banerjee)
